Careers Lead HLTA Role - The Windmill School

Overview

Make a real difference to young lives. The Windmill School is looking for an organised, creative and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead our Careers Programme for autistic pupils in Key Stage 4 and 5. In this rewarding role, you’ll design and deliver inspiring, accessible careers and employability learning, build strong links with employers, colleges and families, and create personalised pathways that help young people gain confidence and skills for life beyond school. From supporting meaningful work experience to delivering 1:1 guidance and training staff, you’ll play a key part in shaping inclusive futures for our learners.

Personal attributes

  • Experience working with autistic learners 
  • Strong knowledge of careers education and CEIAG principles 
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills 
  • Confidence in designing accessible resources 
  • Believe, inspire and achieve.  
  • Bring energy and commitment to building positive relationships with children. 
  • Have an enthusiasm for new evidence-based approaches including the implementation of your ideas. 
  • Be reflective practitioners with a “can do” approach  
  • Be able to support all students to believe they have the potential to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. 
  • Be ambitious, professional and committed to further personal development and committed to working as part of a dynamic team of professionals both in and out of the classroom. 
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare  

Salary & Benefits

Salary from £11816 to £13107 per year
