The Windmill School

The Secretary of State for Education has approved plans to open The Windmill School. This will be a special free school for learners aged 5 to 18 years with a diagnosed autistic spectrum condition and an Education, Health & Care Plan. When full, it will offer places for 90 children and young people whose autism is the major barrier to their learning and who would find the busy environments of either mainstream or generic special schools too challenging. Barnet Council's Strategic Planning Committee unanimously approved our application to convert 50, Moxon Street, High Barnet, EN5 5TS at their meeting on 23rd March 2022. Construction work has now begun to convert 50, Moxon Street, High Barnet to be our new school. Works are due to be completed in February 2024. We are working with the London Borough of Barnet to establish a temporary home for the school to open in September 2023. First admissions will be in Year's 5 to 8.
